New meets old

The Kecks (left) are one of the relatively newer observatories on the summit of Mauna Kea while the IRTF (right) is one of the older more established telescopes. No matter, we all do the same thing: wonderful science and admiration of sunsets!

It's the same view from up there all the time, but it never gets old! One day soon, I will get to the summit for sunset - it was the only birthday present I asked for!
Thanks for sharing.

Karin - when people post comments like yours I feel I have to take them to the summit myself, especially if it's for a birthday!

Of course I can't do that, but I hope you do get to see the sunset up there soon because it's very special. If I can help in any way let me know.
