Blew out my left knee in '79. The right on has been worn down in the last 25 years pretty well. I am thinking of speaking with the Ortho about replacements before I retire (2.5 years from now.)
If you handle used/abused knees you're welcome to them, then.
Bummer. Sorry, but I'm still using both of mine, too. But my cousin got one of those fancy new knees and it's working out really well! If you have to go that route, they're making some really good ones, and the surgery has an increasingly quick recovery time...
The knee isn't too bad just bothersome. I was on crutches a few weeks before Xmas because it gave out but got a lot better over the weeks. Now it's being a pain again, literally.
It seems to get worse at the summit but that may be because I'm sat down for several hours...
Aw, sorry Tom. Knees are the worst, my father suffers from bad knees too. But thankfully he still has both left.;) Hope you find a spare one dear friend. xo Zuzana
Tom, You do not want mine either. I have arthritis so bad in both knees that my Orthopedic Doctor cancelled major repair surgery on my right knee and told me that I am now waiting for replacement of both. Part of my reason to move to Kona is that he feels that the low elevation, warmth, & exercise will help me prevent replacement for about 10 years.
Good luck finding a new knee...bone connected to the thigh bone...the thigh bone is connected to the hip bone...sorry I don't usually break into song like that.
Please please see an orthopedist. Is there a decent one in the jungle???? I worry...and I used to be an arthritis health educator in real life so I know you need one!!! xox

Sorry, I'm actually still using mine. Good luck with yours, though!

Sorry to hear that you're at the end of a knee-ra.
Hilary - that cracked me up, thank you!
