Big Island Harvest Moon

I was busy taking some sunset shots on the Kona side of the Big Island and remembered that tonight was the so-called Harvest Moon. I turned around as soon as the sun had set and sure enough there was a beautiful full moon.

Looks like we were all struck with the amazing Harvest Moon. I posted a shot on my blog as well and Devany and Elizabeth have some good ones as well. Thank you for your post!

Gorgeous. Love the palms framing the shot.

Gorgeous shot! "Everybody" is talking about this moon and showing off great pictures. It rained here, of course. Your photo is great compensation.

Where were you? It was cloudy in Kona town. Jeff got up in the middle of the night and saw it.

Thanks, all. Dawn - this picture was taken at Puako so 30 miles or so north of Kailua-Kona. I could see the usual cloud buildup over Kona but was far enough away to get some clear and very beautiful skies!
