Norway desperately wants to get rid of the little Spanish pests.Keera Ann Foxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07466103379725251225noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5822428485586445604.post-85609787700467576032008-10-20T22:05:00.000-10:002008-10-20T22:05:00.000-10:00Actually, the fire ants are already here. They're not widespread yet and I don't think I have any - I don't have any soil left for them to live in!

As for ambient noise, I don't know. The people of Puerto Rico love their coquis, hardly anyone here does. You get used to it until one of the little buggers finds their way under your deck and then that 100-decibel sound is amplified and echoed. It's no fun when they do that at 3am!Tomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07917420597770463210noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5822428485586445604.post-62954491658357426762008-10-20T17:37:00.000-10:002008-10-20T17:37:00.000-10:00I like that ambient noise. I'll take your frogs, and in exchange I'll send you our fire ants from South America. :-)

Hi, Keera!Lou Minattihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16096986232572086745noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5822428485586445604.post-8617325804517762852008-10-20T14:42:00.000-10:002008-10-20T14:42:00.000-10:00Hi Keera. I've heard the odd story of some cats being trained to catch and kill coquis, but even if they're true I think mine are a bit long in the tooth to learn new things.Tomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07917420597770463210noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5822428485586445604.post-40661852215823562352008-10-20T08:59:00.000-10:002008-10-20T08:59:00.000-10:00I saw a documentary about these frogs once.
